Fitness Conversations with Monique Middlekauff

Today I am talking with Monique Middlekauff who not only manages TWO Lifestyle medicine clinics in Twin Falls, Idaho but is also a science loving athlete that has an online fitness business.

Her business blends her love of science and fitness into a compilation of video demonstrations for you to follow along at home. All of course backed up by evidence, but made to meet you where you are in your fitness, diet and health.

Monique's has a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah. She is a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and she is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

She continues to publish research in the field of exercise science, and is an Exercise Medicine, Level 3 credentialed provider. Monique is a certified Higher Education Teaching Specialist and loves challenging you to pursue deeper knowledge and understanding.

In this episode we are talking about the many conversations she has about wellness and fitness. We touch on fad diets and the risk versus benefits of choosing one. The discussion carries us through how food is personal and how capability is NOT the same as capacity. We even touch on shame around fitness.

In fact, we dive right into my personal top 3 excuses for not exercising. And Monique gives me great tips on how to combat them in hopes of, so she says, generating more energy. Combat the exhaustion with exercise!?

Monique's Resources:
